COVID information 19/07/2021

Thank you for your continued patience during these challenging times.

Many of the national Covid-19 restrictions will end on 19 July. However, Public Health England’s infection prevention control guidelines will remain in place across all healthcare settings, including GP surgeries and hospitals.

This means that everyone accessing or visiting the practice must continue to wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules at all times.

Covid rates are very high locally and the threat of the virus remains. We ask that everyone does their bit to help and minimise the spread of infection.

These measures remain in place to protect our patients and our staff, so that the most vulnerable among us can continue to safely attend healthcare settings.

If you have not had yet had your Covid vaccination, we would encourage you to book this now, either by visiting grabajab.net or speaking to reception.

The practice is open and will continue to offer a range of telephone, video and face to face appointments.

Staff are working extremely hard to ensure we continue to provide the very best care for our patients and everyone who needs us. We remain as busy as ever and ask that you ‘help us to help you’ by using the right service for your needs and — when contacting or visiting the practice — treating our colleagues with the kindness and respect that they deserve.

COVID Vaccine information 21/06/2021

We are inviting all patients over the age of 18 for their first dose COVID vaccination. If you live with or know someone who has not yet received an invitation to book their vaccination please ask them to contact the practice immediately. The Delta variant is particularly affecting those that have not been vaccinated. We are running vaccination clinics regularly.
Thank you

askmyGP update 18/05/2021

We encourage all patients to send in their own askmyGP messages so that the doctors understand your query in your own words. If you are unable to do this we will of course take your query over the phone. The information you provide in your askmyGP message or give the receptionist will be looked at immediately by a GP – you will then either receive a reply to your message, SMS or telephone call from the doctor to address your query further or arrange a face to face appointment if needed.
We would usually respond to all requests within 24 hours but due to exceptionally high demand this may currently take up to 7 working days. If your problem is urgent please let the reception team know via telephone as well as by sending the askmyGP message.

Vaccine status information 11/05/2021

You can access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the free NHS App from 17 May. You can access the app through mobile devices such as a smartphone or by tablet. Proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status will be shown within the NHS App. We recommend that you register with the app before booking international travel.
If you do not have access to a smartphone and know that the country you are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status, you can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine. We expect the letter to take up to 5 days to reach you.
Do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.
