Getting started with our online services
askmyGP and Patient Access are two excellent online services available to patients at Concord Medical Centre. You will find they save you time and help you take more control of your health, particularly if you have any long-term medical conditions which require regular monitoring and prescriptions.
Both online services are quick, easy and convenient to use from a smartphone, tablet or computer and can be accessed 24/7.
When you use askmyGP for the first time, it will ask you to complete a short new user form to use the service.
To begin using Patient Access, you simply need to pop in to the practice so we can give you your personal registration details. You will then be able to register and access online services straight away.
Register for askmyGP
Registering for our askmyGP service is easy and literally takes a few minutes.
Enter your problem in get help from your practice box and click on contact your own GP button. This will take you to a page which will ask you to log in or sign up. Click the sign up button and follow the instructions from the askmyGP team.
Register for Patient Access
Registering for our Patient Access service is easy and literally takes a few minutes. Simply pop into the practice and bring with you:
- 2 forms of identification. One of these should have your photograph and the other should show proof of your current address.
- Photo ID can be either your driving licence or passport.
- Proof of address ID can be a recent utility bill (e.g. gas, electric, satellite, TV, phone bill) issued within the last 3 months, a bank statement, council tax bill for the current council tax year, mortgage statement.
We will ask you to complete a quick form, take copies of your ID and issue you with a username and password.
You will now be able to use Patient Access, our online service to:
- Order your repeat prescriptions
- Book a routine appointment
- Cancel an appointment
- Change your contact details
- Review your medications and known allergies
- View your medical records

How safe are these online services?
We take the security of your information very seriously. By working with both askmyGP and Patient Access, the companies that provide the two online systems for our practice, we can ensure that the information you provide when using the online services portals is protected.
All communications with the askmyGP and Patient Access websites are encrypted, using the same high security that major banks use for their internet transactions (128 bit SSL). Only you can see the personal information you enter.
Both web sites are administered at remote high-security sites managed by the providers themselves, not at the practice, so there is no possibility of unauthorised access.
Using the most up-to-date version of your web browser also improves security of information. Remember to close the browser after use, especially if someone else could access your computer.
